Principal's Message
Hello Bautista Creek Families,
I want to welcome you to the 2023-24 school year. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to serve our school, now as the Principal at Bautista Creek. We have an amazing learning community with dedicated staff, incredible students, and a supportive school community.
I come to Bautista Creek with over 23 years of experience as an educator and administrator. I would like to share a little about myself. I grew up in Orange County, attending school in Huntington Beach. In 1998, I received a teaching credential and Bachelor’s in Education and started teaching in Santa Ana, California.
I came to Bautista Creek as the Assistant Principal during the 22/23 school year and have loved being able to serve this amazing community of learners. Bautista is a very close-knit community and the staff and families work closely together to further the vision of HUSD.
My husband and I have four children, ages 24, 21, 17, and 13 years old. We enjoy camping, hiking, and water sports as a family. My oldest son just graduated and is working on his teaching credential. My 21-year-old son just completed a two-year program to be an AMT Airplane Mechanic.
My educational philosophies include fostering a school culture where every student feels connected and valued. I believe in working closely with families as a team to facilitate open communication. I support educational equity, which means all students receive what they need to be successful educationally. I will ensure our Special Education students are in the Least Restrictive Environment and receive high-quality support and instruction.
I look forward to continuing to lead Bautista Creek, as we work together to Embrace, Educate, and Empower our students. My door is always open to you and I whole heartily welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this year. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share. I look forward to continued success for all of our Bautista Creek Bears.
Sincerely,
Michele Aguilar, Bautista Creek Principal
